Autostart Gkrellm & ubuntu

Hello,

I'm currently working on Ubuntu LTS 10.
I'd like gkrellm to autostart each time I log in then I add this line in
my .xinitrc file :

Code:
exec /usr/bin/gkrellm -g +0+150
It should work but it doesn't, maybe I missed something somewhere but I doubt it.

Did you experience such problem and how did you solve it ?

Thanks,

An alternative would be to use GNOME's desktop session autostart facilities.
