Attaching files to email (in general, file picker)

The file pickers used to have a place to just type in the file name. If it was a full path name, or could be found in the current directory, it would just use that and activate the open button (or let ENTER do the open). It was easy to have the file name in the cut/paste buffer and just plop it in there.

Now that place is gone. So even though I have the full path of the file, I still have to manually traverse the tree to look for it. That is just so annoying. They need to bring back a place to just enter the name/path.

You're so unspecific that it's impossible to tell you how to get it back. Also, you didn't even ask a question - are you just complaining?
