Ascii key combination?
In windows, there is a way to type most any character that is not on a standard keyboard, for example ¿
These ascii chars can be made by holding ALT while pressing a few numbers on the numpad.
¿ is ALT+168
I use some of these obscure characters in my passwords, so having this function in linux is completely necessary. I have been getting by with google searches and copy+paste... but it is far less efficient.
I looked into a while back and never got anything. My only thought is adding some keymap option to say alt-ctrl-F12 equals the character needed. This would be done in the non gui level. Just my idea of how to do but not sure where to start.
