Arch Linux Gnome 3 running in fallback
 
Hello,

I've got Arch Linux distribution with this problem, recently I renewed my OS and got gnome3 with updates, It's not like it's not working, but latter I found out, for some reason it's running in fallback(gnome2) mode... Can't figure out why, can anyone help please?

If it's in fallback mode, it's likely because your video card can't support the 3D environment. This is either because your video card just isn't capable, or your drivers aren't installed/working properly. What is the output of 'glxinfo'?

Sorry for delay. Yeah, I read in other places that the problem might be a video card, but one of my friends has the same video card and he didn't even encoutered this problem, that's why I posted this question here. Here is the glxinfo:

Check in System Settings > System Info --> Graphics, and see if it's configured to go into fallback mode automatically.

It is not. I tried to play with that part... Btw, new update came up just yesterday for my video card, but it also didn't resolve the issue...

Sorry for keeping this thread running for so long, I have solved a problem some time ago, actually accidentally, but forgot to post. So the problem was really simple, I was missing gnome-tweak-tools package.

Solution:

pacman -S gnome-tweak-tools
