amarok screen messages don't always appear

Hello there.
Does anyone know what this problem could be?
I use fluxbox, and with it amarok (which really is KDE, this may have something to do with it). Now, these screen messages that are supposed to pop up to say things like which track is playing and so on seem to pop up behind whatever I'm using at the time, browsing or essay writing or whatever.

It's probably just a tweak in the settings or a boxc to tick or something simple like that, but I don't known which one since it only happens sometimes. Anyone?

I am an Amarok user, but the one thing I really hate about it is when a new song starts, it displays that pop up right in the middle of the desktop. I do allot of on-line reading and it really pisses me off when that pop up shows up distracting me and putting a dent in comprehending what I'm reading. Why couldn't they have it pop up in a corner of the desktop??.
Anyway, enough with the bawlling, it's probably because you're not runnin' KDE, and fluxbox is designed to be kind enough not to piss off on-line readers. You can usually put the cursor on the Amarok icon in the panel and another pop up shows up with all the info, maybe fluxbox disallows that also.

Umm, you know you can disable the little pop-up thing, right?
Click on innstillingar » set opp Amarok » skjermmeldingar
this'll be something like "setup, set up amarok, screen messages" in english.

I'll give KDE a bash, then, and see if it persists. i know I won't be sticking with KDE because it's such an enourmous program that'lll burden my computer and slow it down . . . to

WOW!
Looks like your thread was beneficial for me, thanks for pushing me to stop reading for a bit and look a Amarok settings. Apparently in OSD settings, when I went there a pop up showed up right in the middle of the desktop frustrating me again, but then I read it and it said "Osd - drag to reposition" or similar, so I dragged it to the bottom left corner of the desktop. Now that pop up shows up there instead, and the option to not display it is available there also .
