Amarok MP3 Not Playing
 

I can't get MP3s to play in Amarok. OGG files play fine. I'm guessing I need to get some codec or engine or library.

Any and all requirements to get MP3s to play would be fantastic.

(Also, ideally--if possible, please tell me where I can get these as SuSE 10.1 RPMs.)

I figured out the problem it was that i had ubuntu. They do not include mp3 codecs in the software, They also do not include alot of other things. So i scrapped the whole ubuntu install and went straight to the source and loaded Debian with KDE everything works fine now.

I already looked at that thread and it did not work for me.

Not sure if this was ever solved, but it's old, so marking SOLVED.
