After update: Kaffeine does not play mpg

Last time I used yum it told me I had about 300 updates so I just did a yum update. Now Kaffeine won't play mpgs anymore. It doesn't even show the kaffeine logo on startup and mp3s are played without visualization. I can still watch mpgs with xine.
I also get an error message when started from the console:

X Error: BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes) 8
Major opcode: 143
Minor opcode: 5
Resource id: 0x28001f4

Any ideas what went wrong?

For those interested:
Somehow kaffeine did not find the right video driver. I changed the xine video settings from auto to opengl. This produced a "Cannot find OpenGL Extensions" Error. Desperate, I tried the other drivers and finally, with xshm it works again. (let's see how long)

Maybe some one can give me a hint for the OpenGL problem?
