adept_updater > how to get the details of the update ?
Hi
It's been annoying me for a long time now : although adept is really good at keeping the system up-to-date, I can't get to know what bug is going to be fixed or what feature is going to be added when I launch adept_updater... I'm convinced there must be some changelog for each update somewhere, but can I access it from adept ? Does anybody knows a way ? There's a "Developer Changelog" tab in the "details" view but it's desperately empty every time. cheers, cbonar |
I don't know about adept but with good old apt I think you can install apt-listchanges

Well, I've it installed already (just in case adept requires it to display the changelog), but before I have the opportunity to test it on the command line, can you tell me if you could observe there was always a changelog in apt with this tool ?
ps : I've tested all the updates today, and I've noticed that some (very few) times the changelog was printed in adept. Some other (very few) times, there is a 'URL not found'-like message, and the rest of the time, it's only a blank page. -> would that mean that the changelog is simply not set on the repository ? |
