[solved] kde only show windows from current desktop in taskbar

Particularly for Mandriva 2007.1, I can't find a way in the GUI to disable showing all the windows in the taskbar. You can disable it using your text editor in the file ~/.kde/share/config/ktaskbarrc (change the value of ShowAllWindows to false).

ShowAllWindows=false. under [General] If there is no [General] then simply make one line with that first.

e.g.
[General]
ShowAllWindows=false

Or right click the task bar, select "Configure Panel", click "Taskbar" and unselect "Show windows from all desktops". One of the first things I do after an install.
