Wifi driver installs successfully, but seemingly undetected on Deepin 15.4.1.

Hello, on Deepin 15.3 I was able to get my Asus PCE-N53 wireless card to work using this driver, however on Deepin 15.4.1, upon building and running modprobe, nothing appears to change.
It's as if it isn't installed and working, but it is.

I am certain the device works, as running "sudo iwlist enp6s0 scan" in the terminal lists available networks, however I can't connect to any of them, and the Deepin control center won't even list the wireless card.

Here's a video demonstrating my problem: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c2xxv0pw7ic

It's good you have a working driver. To get on a network, you need that driver and
2. A working encryption key config in wpa_supplicant.conf
3. A dhcp program invocation.

Try
Code:
sudo iwlist enp6s0 scan |grep -B5 <your_essid>
You should see a line with Address, Encryption, and ESSID. If encryption is on, you need wpa_supplicant.conf set up with your network and wpa_passphrase. Then
Code:
iwconfig enp6s0
should show if you're associated or not. If you are, run dhclient or dhcpcd with enp6s0 as the argument. Once you can do this by hand, you can set it up.

Post the relevant bits of config & substitute exact essid and passphrases because this is a public forum. Also, how does the system configure itself? Is it rc scripts or networkmanager?

Thank you for your reply, however before I could take your advice I ended up finding a really simple solution. Running "sudo ifconfig enp6s0 up" then killing NetworkManager does the trick.
