Grab an install CD, boot on that, and you're usually able to type something like Ctrl_Alt_F2 to get a root console.

Then fsck the disks, mount the root device on /mnt and the others underneath them (e.g. /boot on /mnt/boot) and you can get in. You can even run
chroot /mnt and appear 'booted' and run grub/lilo or grab files you need.

Q1: What did you do before stuck on a black screen? Please press "Esc" and make a screenshot for me.
Q2: You can make a boot disk and enter Livecd mode to get your data.

Unhappy

Hello folks!
I'm really grateful for the suggestions but since there was really urgent need to use the laptop, i moved to Linux mint. I have it working for now. I hope to give deepin another go, probably when it is more stable....
Anyways, i think it had to do with a Bluetooth dongle. I realised this cuz i had done a clean install and everything seemed to be fine until i paired a Bluetooth speaker 🔊 with the laptop and that's when it stopped booting.
A similar thing happens in Linux mint but the os boots normally once i remove the dongle. This wasn't the case with deepin.

Thanks again!
Really loved deepin, i hope to see it more stable the next time.
