Deepin 2014.1 crashed with black screen and only a cursor visible [SOLVED]
I've had deepin 2013 and 2014 running on my Asus EEE 1000 H netbook for some time. A few weeks back it crashed and failed to load.
I can get to my theme picture and I have a cursor but after a number of seconds the screen goes totally black just leaving me with my white cursor. There is no response from clicking in any of the corners and there is no response from selecting Ctrl-Alt-Del.
Sometimes by pressing the F numbers (no I cant be sure which one) I'm able to come up with an error message appearing in the middle of the screen simply saying "No system tray detected on this system. Unable to start, exiting". It then gives me a button to select "OK". Clicking OK takes me back to a black screen with white cursor and no other activity.
Just now I was hitting some random keys in the bottom row and got a small menu (6 options) to appear in the top left corner. This gave me an option to bring up the terminal. This option let me get "sudo apt-get update" running and it found quite a few bits to download.
I then ran "sudo aptitude upgrade" and that pulled down another 492 meg of data - 3+ hours of downloading 260+ files (220 packages upgraded 54 newly installed) then around 20-something minutes to unpack and install...
And, after letting it try to install everything it has reached "startdde" and wont go any further. GRRRRRRRR
I had to force a hard restart through the power switch.
So when I restarted I had the same process take place. This time without any keypresses... Deepin logo, theme desktop picture, black screen, Warning message.
I like Deepin, a lot, so how do I get it back into a working state?
Do you want to take a look at the terminal output file?

Reason: Close of support request, problem solved
If you have an install cd, boot on it, get to a terminal (Ctrl_Alt_F2 usually does it), edit /etc/inittab and set initdefault to multiuser console, usually level 3.
Reboot, and you should land in a console. Type startx to boot X, or
Code:
startx > logfile 2>&1
and after the crash . .
less logfile
Hi cxbii, when I tried to paste it I got this message:
"The text that you have entered is too long (120112 characters). Please shorten it to 30000 characters long."
The first output file is 1590 lines in length. This was after the command of "sudo aptitude upgrade".
This install stopped after these lines;
Code:
Setting up dde-daemon (0.0.1+20140925161245~5bf94f4ab2) ...
Setting up dde-control-center (0.0.3+20140919171952~36d2f49075) ...
Setting up deepin-desktop-environment (2.1+20140919172208~98568a344e) ...
Setting up startdde (0.1+20140919172838~53b929536a) ...
The second output file is 119 lines in length and was after this command: "sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade -y".
This install stopped working after these lines;
Code:
Processing triggers for dde-meta-misc-hooks (0.2.17~trusty) ...
Add Deepin to OnlyShowIn in /etc/xdg/autostart/user-dirs-update-gtk.desktop
value Deepin to OnlyShowIn has added.Ignore.
Add Deepin to NotShowIn in /etc/xdg/autostart/print-applet.desktop
value Deepin to NotShowIn has added.Ignore.
Processing triggers for gnome-menus (3.10.1-0ubuntu2) ...
Does black screen occur after upgraded to Deepin2014.1 from Deepin2014.
if so, please press Ctrl+Alt+F1 after black screen, input your account and password( nothing input in fact) to login. Then execute:
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get insatll dde-meta-en -y
