I'am to linux and wanted learn more of it and make career in system & network administration, shell scripting, programming can anyone suggest me which is the best .
I currently have suse 10.2,RedHat 4 Advance server,Mandriva 2005,ubuntu.
within business, redhat without a doubt. it's the most common distribution within enterprise, but also used most prevalently within appliances based upon Linux.
If linux is what you want to learn, then I recomend learning Slackware or Gentoo. They are both very barebone and you will learn on linux internals. Red Hat is big in the enterprise but the engineers that have slackware experience were able to out smart the redhat engineers.
