What is the easiest way to get x window ?

Hello frens!

I have installed rhel 4 in my box. I installed minimum set of packages around 640M. Now I need X window to do some tasks.

What is the most easiest way to get x window. I can not run system-config-packages command to choose x window group because that also requires display.

Is there any rpm by which with --aid option I could install x window or gnome desktop environment install ?

I don't want to go through the whole process to just have a x window. please help me.

Once you get it working, what "certification" do you expect to earn?

I just wanted to know how to do it. it has nothing to do with certification. you should better spent your time to advising only what you know or keep quite. who the hell told you to make such a rough comment. Stupid jerk!

The question was kind of in place, since you're writing on the Linux - Certification subforum. Oh, and "stupid jerk" isn't something you are supposed to say here, since it's not helping anybody understand anything.

First, google is your friend. Google even searches through linuxquestions.org. (just use the site:linuxquestions.org search parameter) This is not the appropriate place to ask your queestion.

But the "easiest" way is to add yum (from a 3rd party site like atrpms) and then use it to install the entire "X Window" package group.

For details, google it.
