Thumbs up Wanna be an RHCT, what RH courses to take?

Hi,

I am a newbie in Linux, but very passionate about Linux. I am supporting applicatio solutions running on the Linux os. So linux troubleshooting and administration skills are needed. I want to go for an entry-level certification. According to my knowledge RHCT is starting point? If so, what courses should I do to be RHCT certified.
PLease reply as I want to attempt writing the exam in July this year.

There is no RHCT and that has been clubbed with RHCE. You have to take both the exam combined. Start preparing for RHCE.

All the best.

RHCT certification was being offered on RHEL 5. With the release of RHEL 6, RHCT has now been replaced with RHCSA (Red hat certified system administrator). Previously with RHEL 5, the RHCE certification exam would also test the RHCT part of the requirements. But now with RHEL 6, we have to take both the exams separately i.e. RHCSA and RHCE (can be done on the same day). There is no strict rule on the order in which one takes the exam; however, one must clear the RHCSA before he will be awarded the RHCE certificate.

In short, RHCSA is the entry level exam on RHEL 6. And as per the red hat website
- Red hat system administrator I
- Red hat system administrator II
are the recommended courses for preparation.

Hi,

Can someone provide me or tell me where can I find the study material for RHCSA or the CBT videos if someone's got them.
What are the recommended books to prepare for the RHCSA exam.

Thank you.
