I do not have any working experience in IT, but i believe i am good with IT
I am a Practising Civil Engineer of 8years experience and i am considering switching totally to IT and have decided to go for RedHat Linux
I read so many replies of comments sent to you by Newbies like me asking questions about Red Hat Linux
Actually, i am preparing of going for the training and exams in January
The truth is that i don't even know how this software looks like, I am use to Microsoft, but am willing to build a career in Linux. I actually had a long discussion with the training center about my knowledge on Linux and i was assured that it was a beginner level program.
Linux is not used in my country that much and i could even get anywhere for training, but outside my country (Nigeria), i am hoping that this book helps me in the training, although i might be given books for the training
I noticed you have been absent lately on the thread and wishing you have time to reply my comment
NB: Please i would appreciate any advice from any experienced RHCE/RHCSA Linux Administrator/User

the cd that came with my book contains only a "tata" folder with sample exams. it has no PDF ebook or labs on it.
can you please advise where i can obtain copies of these essential labs? i'm not so bothered about the ebook as i have the real book but the labs are essential.
I bought the book a year ago and faced the same problem. I contacted TMH people, but they don't have any info about that.
But, I got the files from a friend in other forum, in other site. If you give your mail id I can share it with you.
Hi - Having just purchased the book, I visited the McGraw-Hill website to download the errata file to update my copy and found that it's dated 2011! Given that even on here I have seen errata noted, I wondered if there is a more up-to-date version of the errata file anywhere please?
I'm sorry, that is the latest errata available. If you have issues beyond the errata listed, let us know. I'll try to respond as best I can in the time that I have available.
Good to hear! I am already a Red Hat 5 RHCT but want to upgrade my certification to RH6 and RHCE, hence why I am too working through the book! Just hope that's enough, my company won't pay to send us on any courses and I can't afford to pay for it myself.
Hello
I purchase the Kindle version of the book but I need the DVD for the lab,
unfortunately I was unable to find it, I also try contact McGraw-Hill but I didn't receive any replay.
Sorry for late reply.
I bought book in 2011.
So the contents of the cd may be old.
Send your mail id to azzure.hat@gmail.com and I will send the link of the cd/dvd
