Next version of RH Linux

Hello,

I am going for my RHCT and i have a question:
I know that the certfication covers RH 3 however isn't that version been out for long time that the next version is about to come out? and if its true should i wait or would RH 3 certfication be equal to whatever version they come out with.

Thanks

The next version will be Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4. On the beta mailing list for that distro, they've said, "no more betas," so it's reasonable to expect that it'll be released soon.

Typically, exams are updated within a few weeks after distro release.

If you want to start preparing now, Red Hat has stated that Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4 is based on Fedora Core 3.

Update, per http://news.zdnet.co.uk/software/linuxunix/0,39020390,39184378,00.htm - Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4 should be out approx Feb 14 2005. Historically, RHCE revisions have been ready 2-3 weeks aferwards.

So you may find RHCE 4 exams available starting in March....
