Question New LPI study guide.

Hi, All.

I've successfully passed LPI-101 exam last month and I would like to be prepared for the LPI-102. But they have completely changed exams outlines from 1st of April 2009 and included some strange topics like "localization", which I never been used before. I had an excellent study guide from IBM, but now it is obsolete
Does anyone now some study materials and demo testing engines for the new LPIC certification exams?

I'd say you just need to get experience in all distro's that are out there and read up as much as you can.

At the Ohio Linux Fest the LPI guys did testing and I failed the 101 mostly due to the fact that I had not at the time played with every distro so I was unsure of the package manager and configuration dialogs that are specific for some disto's that do not use all command line arguments. Also distro specific software.

I did pass the 102.

I felt the test was a good test and would recommend it to anyone.

localization is something most people don't think about and is easy enough to learn.

Read, REad REAd and you will do fine.

Deficiency Can Be Made Up

I would think you could get around this deficiency by using the internet. Playing around with Linux in combination with study guides helped me, but not the study guides alone.

The LPIC exams get you, because IMHO the questions are tough and not obvious. The study guides can only put you through your paces, not put actual questions in front of you.
