LPI deb/rpm issue

hi,

I was on the edge of calling my local LPI exam center to set a date for my exams, when I heard someone say dpkg and rpm we're put together into one exam. Not that I have no knowledge @ all of dpkg. I can't find it on the LPI site, so I was wondering if someone here knows wether they have merged into 1 exam.

Thanks!

Yes the LPI 101 exam now includes both dpkg and rpm, there is no longer two separate exams. This was from September 2005.

The LPI web site is in serious need of a redesign, and update. I believe this is being done, but the site is very frustrating at the moment.

You can see confirmation at: http://www.lpi.org/en/news_item/110

I took the exam in October 2005, and had no idea about the change. All the materials I had looked at still referred to the two separate exams see: http://www.penguintutor.com/blog/viewblog.php?blog=129

There are some questions on dpkg on the Penguin Tutor LPI Practice Exam
These are not the actual questions from the exam, but may give you an idea of how much you need to know.
