Linux + vs LPIC I

Curious as to what other think about which Linux certification of these two to pursue first?

I have the Cert book for the CompTIA Linux + as well as a LPIC I - General Linux I prep kit book by QUE.

I would like to get a Linux certification without having to attempt (at least right now) the harder to get RHCE certification.

Any suggestions or thoughts on which of the two to pursue first? Will getting one greatly enhance the chances of passing the other?

I have books on both of those, and it seems to me that the LPIC test is a better test of working CLI knowledge. That being said, they both cover about the same ground, so yes, If you get one the other should be quite easy.

I would go for the LPIC...

If you were considering going for the Novell CLP cert later, it might be good to know that Novell's study guide for Linux+ (offered from CompTIA's website) purportedly covers 1/3 of the material needed for the CLP exam (per Novell's website). Just a thought as you consider your options.
