Now i'm confused with the bestway to do this, modify the ks file and installing a virtual machine using ks, If someone please show me the best way to do that.
mike_rhce, thanks for still taking the time to check the forums. I got way more out of your book than i did from a 3000 dollar training class from Oracle University on Oracle Linux.. haha.
One way to use the kickstart file is to boot the VM from the CD and hit tab while Install or Upgrade is highlighted.. you can then put the location of the kickstart file at the end of the line for example ks=ftp://192.168.122.1/pub/kickstart.cfg
Another way that you can use the kickstart file during the creation of the VM while doing virt-install from cli.. you can add extra arguments with the -x switch..
This is assuming you have the kickstart file available on an ftp server. You can also point it to an apache server or a location on the hdd.
