i bought a book from a used book store that came w/a CD with practice tests.

also, it would help to get a 2nd pc and setup networks with it. (my plan)

i am just reading 1 chapter at a time, and at the end there are tests...sofar i am scoring myself around 75%...which surprises me, b/c i am sort of retarded. ;)

You should start your own thread instead of hijacking this one!

I recently did the RedHat (RHCE) fast-track course, four days of lectures and the exam on friday - Ive been using Linux for years but where I work decided to send me and a mate on this so we had something on paper.

It was relatively heavy going, definitely not to be recommended to someone with no Linux experience, it's not an easy way of cramming two courses into one... But it was good and it filled in alot of gaps (from being mostly self-taught) for me.

Im going for RHCE...

my 1st linux install was RedHat5.1, then 6.1, 6.2 (when 6.2 didnt go so well) and about 20 distros since.

now on Mandriva 2008.1 (b/c 2009 is not so well done, and kde is not finished)...

anyways.
on chapter 7, and i still know about 50% of it.

i think i can master it in 8 months...if i keep reading/ studying and pushing myself.

if you search google, and "rhce" or linux certification, you will find a lot of classes, but then narrow it down to your zip code (or city, country) ...

a local community college has classes here, and they're less than 500dollars...
