is the 'free' version of Linspire really free?

is it limited somehow in the amount of time it can be used?

It's free as in beer, but not free as in liberty. I imagine that free as in beer means it can't include such things as Dreamweaver and similar proprietary software which require paid licensing and are included in Linspire. There is lots of proprietary free (as in beer) software included in it as well.

It would probably be best to not mention Dreamweaver, since it will not run in Linux and is not included in any Linux distribution.

Sorry. I was confusing that with Crossover Office which is included with Xandros. Looking quickly over Linspire's website, I don't see any apps which require license fees, so maybe Freespire is the same thing as Linspire only without the support.

what i'm concerned about is netzero dial-up compatibility. does it support it?

does freespire support netzero? their downloads indicate that they support linspire, but will the same thing happen on freespire?
