manual network-setup for internet access

Hello

Is there a way to setup networking manually (IP, DNS, Gateway)? I expected to be able to do that under
KNetworkManager -> Options but did not find the expected tools...
E.g. in Knoppix that can be done with `netcardconfig` or from the CLI with the command `ifconfig`

What am I doing wrong?

Are you on LAN? You can do it manually then, it's actually very easy. Ah, and what distro?

Yes I am on LAN. The current release of Icgonito is Gentoo based.
