MA311 with Red Hat 8

I used the suggestions on the board to get my MA311 working. I did not use the downloaded drivers, instead I used the prism drivers included with RH8.

Anyway, the wireless connection works for a few minutes, then hangs. My PC appears to slow down a lot, and when I shut it down, I receive the following message a lot of times before the PC finishes shutting down...

eth01: Error -110 Writing Tx descriptor to BAP

There are a few other solutions on the board, but they pertained to Slackware and didn't know if they would work for me. I didn't want to hose my system - like I've done before - if those suggestions would not work.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Instead of the

/sbin/modprobe hermes,
/sbin/modprobe/orinoco,
/sbin/modprobe/orinoco_pci

commands, if I just use /sbin/modprobe/orinoco_pci, the connection works fine. I still receive the messages on shutdown, but I can deal with that for now. At least the connection doesn't end.
