Video Driver ?

What are the different problems related to video card problem re;ated with Gentoo installation. [I mean editing Xorg file ].
Is it different for every hardware according to the system is using
I had more problems with "Intel Driver".
Actually I had enough material from this forum . But anyone had problem related with Intel Video driver .

Can anyone help me to edit that "/var/log/Xorg.0.log file "[I think this file is making me problem]

Omg, you can't edid log files, it makes no sence! Why would you want to edit a log file? it does not do anything only log's information that you can read and maybe learn about possible problems.

Other than that, you should not have any major troubles with intel driver and xorg, as far as i can remember, you only need to emerge the apropiate drivers, then run as root:
X -Configure
then copy the new xorg.conf to /etc/X11/:
cp /root/xorg.conf.new /etc/X11/xorg.conf

And that is mostly enough to get your X up and running, but if you want to tweak some things, then you can edid your /etc/X11/xorg.conf manualy later on.

I am sorry i cannot give you more specific information at the moment, but this should atleast point you in the right direction, also please read gentoo documentation regarding Xorg configuration: http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/xorg-config.xml

Also note, that gentoo documentation covers alot of other thingies too, and often it is your best friend

OK .. I do understand that .. But from the handbook , I come to know that its speaking about nvidia and fglrx. I think mine is Intel based drivers , So can U be able to link where can I get more information how to configure Intel Drivers. I would be grateful for that !!
