Up arrow key stops functioning after startx

Im running kernel 2.6.31, kde 4.3.3 and xorg-server 1.6.5. I'm using the evdev driver. My up arrow key stops working after I run startx. It works fine at the terminal but then I get no function out of it, and my auto repeat on left arrow key stops working after I start X.

Anyone know what could be causing this?

Hello Fhrost,

in your xorg.conf file in the Secion "InputDevice" there should be a line starting with 'Option "XbdModel" ...'. Could you tell me what it says in your xorg.conf file please?
