Sparc boot errors (read error on block)

Okay so I've just finished my gentoo install on a sun t2000 (16 cores, 16gb ram) and it all went well until I rebooted and tried to boot off it without the live cd. When I try to boot, by typing boot into the obp this is what i get:

Code:
{0} ok boot
Boot device: /pci@780/pci@0/pci@9/scsi@0/disk@0,0:a File and args:

boot:

What is the size of your disk? To get the model, type in "probe-scsi-all" at the ok prompt.

How have you partitioned the disk(s)?
