pulse audio enhance my gentoo?


Well first of all what does Pulse Audio do anyway. I have read little about it and would like to hear some user response.

This might be to late but I have had some SERIOUSLY bad experience with pulseaudio bad crackling sound CPU doubles when using sdl apps so yeah alsa works fine I think but it's your choice

I did have some cracking/pops before I went through the steps and got it set up correctly for my situation. It looks like more and more applications are going to use pulseaudio, it is coming in from upstream so that is why I went ahead and gave in and set it up, seems to be fine so far.

yeah sorry that was just from my experience but you can install it I just had some problems but I'm not realy trying to stop you just giving you a little more info to think about
