Hi, all
I installed KDE and removed it after that in a short time.
The next, I've install Gnome successfully. But I meet 3 problem:
1. When I login from Gnome Login Screen, I only just see xterm, not gnome. But when I stop xdm and startx from bash:
Code:
#/etc/init.d/xdm stop
#startx
It works.
2. When I use gnome (by startx), if the screen lock (Ctrl + Alt + L), I cannot unlock it, every time I type password that was refused by "checking..." status.
3. When I type
gdmsetup, there is a window notice with contents:
Code:
GDM (GNOME Display Manager) is not running.
You might be using a different display manager, such as KDM (KDE Display Manager), CDE login (dtlogin), or xdm. If you wish to use this feature, then your system will need to be configured to use GDM instead.
Pls help me.
Thank you in advance.
