Gentoo wifi

Have a 'live-CD' version of fluffy-1.3. Wifi just installed itself ! (WNA1100 USB adapter)

Want to install a gentoo distro to use for Python web ( wsgi) development. ( using GitHub repositories )
but getting the wifi up is a bit harder.

Device is a no-show in ifconfig / iwconfig.
Drivers not found ..... or ?

Will start by reading the threads in gentoo-wifi.
thanks, bobbice

Hello bobbice. Have you already installed Gentoo as per the handbook?
http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/handbook/handbook-x86.xml
http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/handboo...book-amd64.xml

More specifically have you done the following for installing from a different Live CD:
www.gentoo.org/doc/en/altinstall.xml

Agreed, did you get Gentoo installed using the handbook like Konphine mentioned?

If it has been installed, is your USB showing up so that your wireless nic can even be seen?
