/etc/init.d/local won't start

When trying to run /etc/init.d/local it stalls

Here is what it does.
zoe zymos # /etc/init.d/local start
* Caching service dependencies ... [ ok ]
* Service local starting

and then from there it stalls.

I removed everything from /etc/conf.d/local.start
and
source /etc/conf.d/local.start
runs fine.

Im not sure whats wrong.

Here are are the file permissions
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 375 Sep 9 07:49 /etc/conf.d/local.start
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 622 Sep 9 07:56 /etc/init.d/local*

thanks
Jeff

# depend() {
# after *
# }

in

/etc/init.d/local

seems to fix it, but its just a work around.

It seems boinc's init isn't completing

zoe zymos # /etc/init.d/boinc status
* status: starting

boinc works, but the init doesn't seem to finish. I guessing that /etc/init.d/local -> depend() { after * } is waiting for boinc to finish
