Emerging the Ebuild for Keepnote 0.7.4 on Gentoo

This is the first time I have received this error. I am new to gentoo and the emerge system.
I am attempting to install the ebuild of Keepnote 0.7.4. and I am running into an issue when actually running into the emerge command for keepnote after the digest. It is giving me the issue below.
I looked and installed the ebuild for Python 2.5 with the USE=sqlite and also installed sqlite and psqlite. And I am still having this issue. I have eselected to verify that python is running and currently it appears that python 2.7 is selected and active. This might be an issue though from when I was researching people with similar errors to this have somehow gotten it to work with 2.6-2.7 active. Any help or criticism for doing the wrong thing here or there would be much appreciated.

Error: emerge there are no ebuilds to satisfy ">=virtual/python-2.5[sqlite]"

Have you tried changing the ebuild?

from

Code:
DEPEND=">=virtual/python-2.5[sqlite]
       >=dev-python/pygtk-2.12.0
       spell? ( >=app-text/gtkspell-2.0.11-r1 )"
to

Code:
DEPEND=">=dev-python/pygtk-2.12.0
       spell? ( >=app-text/gtkspell-2.0.11-r1 )"
then regenerate the manifest.

Hmmmm, that did work and it looks there are no issues with it so far. Is that common practice with modifying the ebuild script itself when you know you have the dependency installed and it still is not reading it?

Glad that you got it to work.

You should never have to resort to editing an official ebuild, yet when you install 3rd party ebuilds you sometimes have to make corrections.

It is a good policy to stick to what is in portage when possible.
