Question could not find kernel image: linux


when i try to boot

i get

could not find kernel image: linux

i redownlod iso

but error still remain

distro NavynOS 2005.1

any one can tell how can i fix it

NavynOS is not developed since 2005. Your issues may come from using such an outdated distro. Try a recent one and see if it works.

Current hardware vs. old distro problem, probably. It can happen that an old kernel won't find the device where /boot lives, in your case this is probably due to newer chipset (newer than 2005, not hard to find nowadays) or due to a SATA controller that your kernel from 6 years ago can't handle.

Do you get this error when booting the ISO (from a cdrom or whatever) or do you get this error when booting your distro after having installed it to your hard drive?

NavynOS is not supported anymore. Upgrading the kernel would maybe let your machine run, but you would have real old applications with severe security problems. Do yourself a favor and use a recent distro.
