Hi all,
i must build/install a package for a Debian system. The problem is, that the version i want is functional only in Gentoo Can somebody show me the way how to build/install the Gentoo src package on my Debian system?
If you have the source code, you can just try compiling it on Debian. But it may not function as expected as the libraries may be different. Or you may have to pull some libraries from somewhere else to make it compile.
The only other way I know of to make that specific package run in that configuration would be to use something like KliK and make a *.cmg package containing all the gentoo libraries used as well as that particular version of the package.
