cant emerge samba : Failed to emerge sys-libs/tdb-1.2.1


Hello,

I'm trying to emerge samba in gentoo. I did it before but recently wiped my drives and started again. Now I cant get it to work(may be some setting but I cant figure out what).

I get the error : Failed to emerge sys-libs/tdb-1.2.1

I posted everything in the log file. It seems kind of long. Is there other information or a better way to post in the future?

Ok

I got it working.

Found the solution on another forum.

For anyone having the same problem. Gentoo doesnt have an updated tdb and neets to use python 2.x

If you have python 3.x it wont merge.

Use the following command:
