I'm new to Gentoo i just installed it on my virtual box

i tried to install xorg-server and it give me this:

EMERGE_DEFAULT_OPTS="--autounmask=n" in make.conf.

Use --autounmask-write to write changes to config files (honoring CONFIG_PROTECT).

so i added it in make.conf and its ok now.. what does this autounmask do?

Changes to the files in /etc/portage are occasionally needed to complete an emerge command. It used to be that emerge would just exit with an error and give you a listing of the changes that needed to be made. These are typically adding an arch-testing (~) package to /etc/portage.keywords or a use flag to /etc/portage.use.

This "autounmask" feature will make these changes for you automatically. It appears to have been added to portage pretty recently, or at least I didn't notice it until recently.

Please note that you'll still have to run dispatch-conf or etc-update in order for the changes to take. That's what the CONFIG_PROTECT bit is all about. The changes will only be made to hidden .-... files that will have to be applied to the actual config files using one of these two commands.
