[gentoo] upgrade to xorg 1.5 breaks things

after I've emerged the latest version of xorg 1.5 my nvidia
dual monitor is on a fritz (VGA compatible controller: nVidia Corporation NV41 [Quadro FX 3450/4000 SDI] (rev a2))
only one of the monitors is working ok, second one looks like it's on an acid trip. No matter what i do I'm unable to fix it. I've looked at the gentoo upgrade quide and removed the xorg.conf file but that didn't help. Also tried nvidia's proprietary drivers which don't work at all anymore.
Any idea on how to get this video card to work with the latest xorg-server. Or how would i downgrade to the previous version of xorg.

thanks

Well the downgrading should be straight forward. Put an entry in /etc/portage/package.mask for xorg 1.5. Then "emerge -DNuv world".

Have you tried with with the latest nvidia driver (180.44) Still marked unstable, so you need to put it into packages.keywords. Might be worth a try.

Hi pgb205, can you post this actually :

Code:
# emerge --info
# qlist -I nvidia
# cat /etc/X11/xorg.conf
