Question XP: Welcome Screen Disappeared

A friend of mine asked me to take a look at his computer because, suddenly, the welcome screen had disappeared. It has now the classical login/password window where you have to type the login and password, and he wanted to have the wc screen as it was before. I logged in and took a look at the user's options to make sure that the welcome screen be enabled.... I would say I was shocked to see that it was indeed enabled...., but I'm already used to see windows behaving with this kind of problems on a daily basis. The problem is how the hell can I get the screen back? Do I have to hack it? :-S

Welcome screen disappearing. Looks like Windows doesn't love you anymore.
