Wow, I really messed things up...(help please)

Hi guys, I would appreciate if someone could help me out. I reformatted my computer last night, and re installed Windows. All my drivers were not installed, and it took me forever to find some of them online. When I right click on "My Computer", properties, hardware tab, and than device manager it, it says that I'm missing an Ethernet Controller, Multimedia Audio Controller, and Network Controller. What I'm trying to do is re-install my Linksys W PCI Adapter, but nothing happens when I put in the cd. I try and put the cd in, nothing. I put it in, go to run, D:\setup.exe and nothing. Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong. My adapter has worked for a year at least, and now I can't get it re installed.

This forum is all about linux. If you had put linux instead of windows, something like ubuntu, you could have got lots of help out here. Maybe you would not have had to get the help. It would have installed all the hardware all by itself.

Moved: This thread is more suitable in <GENERAL> since it's a windows-question, and has been moved accordingly to help your thread/question get the exposure it deserves.

Which windows version are you running? Ubuntu 98, Debian XP or Fedora 2000?

Hey, there's no need to poke fun at non-*NIX users - just resist the temptation to post.
