Windoze and slowing down modem connect speed.

I have a brother who uses windoze, and when it connects at 32K the line dies at random. When it connects at say 26K or so it will work fine. I found where I can adjust the serial port speed but is there a way to adjust the speed for the connection itself. I want to set it below 32K so it will not die on use.

I know, this is a windoze question but the windoze forums run windoze and I hate windoze.

Any ideas on how to do this???

Thanks

Later

Oh, I'm on a windoze rig. Help me out here.

is it connected to serial port or is it pci/isa? if it is serial you should be able to adjust through port settings. if it's pci/isa access device through control panel and you should se a tab for maximum access speed. you can drop speed down accordingly. also i would look for driver updates.
