Well I am again and again getting that notorious shutdown error "Windows must now restart because the Remote Procedure Call (RPC) service terminated unexpectedly."
I had blaster worm I downloaded and ran the Symantec tool it successfully remoed the worm
I also intalled the the Windows Windows patch for this PRC vulnerability

Apart from the Antivirus, make sure that you have a good personal firewall installed on your machine. I found out that it's not enough having just an Antivirus running on your machine. A firewall is an absolute must.
It's also a good idea to burn SP1 and the security rollup onto a CD or usb pendrive and install them before putting a system online. I've seen alot of systems get hosed before they can even fully download patches from MS (<3 min uptime).
