Windows Virus Problem

Hi
Well I am again and again getting that notorious shutdown error "Windows must now restart because the Remote Procedure Call (RPC) service terminated unexpectedly."

I had blaster worm I downloaded and ran the Symantec tool it successfully remoed the worm
I also intalled the the Windows Windows patch for this PRC vulnerability
from

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

I thought my machine will be safe now but the shut down error message is again coming

I have installed windows 2 times because of this but again after some time this error comes

I have the patch installed so what to do now?

Apart from the Antivirus, make sure that you have a good personal firewall installed on your machine. I found out that it's not enough having just an Antivirus running on your machine. A firewall is an absolute must.

It's also a good idea to burn SP1 and the security rollup onto a CD or usb pendrive and install them before putting a system online. I've seen alot of systems get hosed before they can even fully download patches from MS (<3 min uptime).

About the friewall, I have the Windows firewall enabled
