I am about to embark on a Windows domain rename at my place of work and when going through the preparatory works, I came across the following:
Enter "gpfixup /olddns:OldDomainDnsName /newdns:NewDomainDNSName
/dc:DcDnsName 2>&1 >gpfixup.log".
The part that puzzled me was 2>&1 - when was this functionality added in Windows? I always thought of this command as being specific to UN*X type systems!
Be gentle on me if this something that has been known since Windows 1 - lol.
