To the victor go the spoils, apparently including rewriting history :P

I used Mac's then I don't really see the point in celebrating the birthday of something I never really used especially since it's the really bad era of MS.

I have to agree with this. I still have an old TI-575CD laptop hanging around with Win 95 original release on it. I had a load of fun last year just trying to get an older Firefox on it. The newer browsers won't even install on it. I was able to use both an old Firefox and IE 5.5 to surf the web with it over a T-10 network card hooked up to a Linksys ethernet bridge to do a sort of wifi. My experience was that these old browsers don't like todays internet. They crashed alot.

I think this is marginally related to this thread: One of my all-time favorite screensavers is something called Kaleidoscope 95, which was created for Win95. It was a brilliant piece of work.

It's the only Windows shareware screensaver I ever paid money to license. The graphics are gorgeous, it's highly configurable, and it has the added feature that, if audio is playing, the images dance to the audio. I still use it with Win7 on those infrequent occasions that I boot over to get the updates.

It's the only Windows screensaver that I would like to see ported to Linux.
