I just wanted to re-itterate how much i hate Windows in any flavor (version).

I have an XP athlon 2600 with moocho ram and a 30GB Diamand Max 8 (crappiest drive since fujitsu's MPD/G series---what ever happend to Japanese honor? It seems to have gone the way of the canadian dollar bill-turned loonie that is...) anyways, this is obviously a rant, so if ya ain't into hearing negatives, then stop reading now.

So, like I said, I got that PC up there and a Toshiba laptop. Laptop runs XP Home (what a crappy OS!!!!)

So, tyhe laptop had Norton Anti virus 2005 corporate installed on it, noty all the crap, just the virus scanner. Now, everyday at 3PM (Admin scheduled scan) the laptop proceeds to install an unknown USB device???!!??? There IS no USB device on the laptop to begin with!!??!!??!!? F&^%ing WINBLOZE!!!!

So, in the XP 2600 PC (desktop) the hdd fails, the previously mentioned crappy Maxtor which is only as old as christmas is past. So, out it comes, RMA'd, shipped. I got another Diamond Max 8 (bought two systems, removed a drive from one of them and shelved it, put in a WD120GB8MBcache and now am using the brand new Maxtor as a replacement drive for the PC that had a burned drive...hope I ain't rambling to much here...

Anyways, I start the PC, press the enter key on keyboard to boot from CDROM(windowsXPPro) and get teh loading XP screen, when I get to the part where yuo have to hit enter to start the install the F*(^&*(%^%^%ING keyboard doesn't work. Three keyboards later and I got it all figured out. You start from win98se boot disk, then cd to cdrom drive, dir to i386, start winnt anmd volia everything works just fine. Now, these are not USB keyboards, ps/2 instead, all of them work fine in dos and on my linux box and as a matter of fact most machines in my house. SO< why they wouldn't work for the Windows F*&^%ing XP install cd is completely beyond me.

Why am I installing Winbloze you may ask? Two kids and one wifey who don't want linux...I can guarentee yuo when the boys move out of this house all my PC's get linux'd, F&*K winbloze forever...I swear MS is in it with the F888King phscyologist and getting a cut of their money for all the IT wiorkers taking stress leave due directl;y to the incompetence of their OS's...NEVER, and I have been runnning them for over 8years, NEVER have they EVER worked properly!!

holy shit, I'm basically a linux newbie and I got it installed, setup , configured everything is working in a day. A whole day for pure bliss. I am getting bored because the damn thing NEVER breaks and NEVER messes up...I have nothihg left to fix. All I can do is learn more and more about linux and better myself that way...now I know why people pay thousands of dollars to learn to admin/maintain/t-shoot Winbloze---you are to busy fixing it to learn from it so ya gotta pay for a course so someone else can fuix it all night while you sleep and come in the morning to break it again, I swear just using the piece of crap OS breaks it.

Anyway's, this ain't hepling me and I still got another FIVE godman hours of installing wnibloze and software ahead of me...Microsoft, I have one thing to say to you, the sooner linux goes mainstream the better...GOD forbid they got Winnt running in the fucking space shuttle--thsoe poor bastards,

OK-all done with the ranting(it's morning now:-) was up til 4AM messing around with winbloze, but I beatr it, I beat it....but MS won because my youngest says he still doesn't want to use linux, something about none of his games working...whatever, he's 11, I'll give him a few years to grow out of the childish OS and become a real man using linux...LOL

Anyways, appologies all around for the rant...but no appologies for MS, you still suck MS.
