If you all just used Slackware you wouldn't have these problems. Richard Stallman told me.....

Just remember Mega Man X, Jeremy said it best here: http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...447#post923447

As always free speech is encouraged at LQ.
Now it seems that's sort of lost here nowadays. Even moderators can't express their own freedom of speech without the members reporting it.

So keep expressing yourself in how you actually feel, just as long as it's not a personal attack upon someone or something!

Sure thing trickykid. You can always count on me being polite to others. And even though I troll a bit at General, I take the other sections quite seriously

I wish I could say the same, I'm an asshole BOFH most days. But moderating isn't my business here anymore, if you haven't noticed.

LOL, I've not noticed that =). Well, I don't think I could be a mod either. People on the General basically hate me and I kinda like the freedom which a "normal" user has which I believe is a bit more restricted when you are a mod =).

Either way, I think you did an awesome job as a mod here mate =)

Hahah. Today I was discussing the emo culture with some mates. I wonder if it will go away or if it will be like the Chuck Norris thing =)

Now, that's paranoid!! I don't hate you. I think you provide good advice sometimes. In fact I think you've helped me out a couple of times. You've got something to give to the forums, and that's appreciated. Unfortunately, it's almost as if Linux did something personal and nasty to you and you're trying to get back at it. Just my observation.

I don't think you've ever personally attacked anyone here. That keeps you in my good book. Others have spewed all sorts of personal things toward me and others, with no provocation. Thankfully, it seems they have left, probably to some other forum site to spew some more.

And as for the serious/non serious issue ... I think the General section is for verbal outletting about whatever. Serious or not. The mods don't want to split it up into subforums like Humor and Windows Tech Questions, so everything gets thrown into one big pot ... to be stirred, stirred, a dash of salt and oregano, and stirred again.

My two cents.

SlowCoder, I really appreciate your honesty with me and it makes me happy to know that some of my advices can be helpful at times (more often than not it is just wild guesses, but still, hehe).

Nah, I don't really hate Linux. Just writing this from my newly installed Ubuntu and I've been playing Wow a bit today, getting better fps than I usually do with Windows. I've just been bored for a while (ran out of quotes from bash.org) and some posts are hard to take seriously. And I am easily carried away with the flamewaves too =D.

I will try to stop though =)

Thanks again mate! Cheers!
