vista, when released, will be much more evolved then stupid linux. Why, it will require brand new computers!!!! I dont know about you, but i cant wait to trash my perfectly working computer with linux, and put on vista, sure, i could just keep my good computer with linux, but then i would miss out on all those great drm features, i think a few thousand dollars is a fair price to pay so i cant do anything. ..

yay?

Wow, I can almost taste that sarcasm SciYro.

With any luck, Vista hasn't been released because the bugs hav'n't all been worked out yet... Then again, this is a Microsoft product. Their marketing team probably wants to wait until their Partners have made some bonus cash selling "Vista Ready" products first.

It goes well with cheese.

Vista is apparently a rewrite of a large portion of the codebase. I've got my fingers crossed that it will mean a significantly better OS for the consumers. I'm not a Windows hater, I found it to be a good OS I just prefer linux. However one thing I do hate though is spyware of any description and with a secure OS being run on 95% of computers instead of 5% it'll stuff those pricks up big time :D

Then I'll put a pirate flag on my roof.

cos M$ havnt got enough security flaws in it yet.
and they made there first atempt at the code so bad it didnt all work so they had to start from scratch. but if you are realy interested in getting all that viruss and spyware then you will be gald to know that there has already been reports of viruss for the Beta versions of vista

I think that was worth at least 2 Euro cents.

Microsoft is not done deciding which great new features cannot be included by the release date.

I heard there was a bug in solitare that's bundled with it. This is the cause of the delay, cause solitare is about the only good thing that comes with Windows.. ;)

IM very mad that we have to buy new computers lol im 15 and i dont have a job , i might officaly switch to linux once i get ndiswrapper working and i get good with linux. I just started getting serious with linux i bought a couple of books on it , but!! im tired of moving my computer to my basement to get internet , so untill i get ndiswrapper working properly on suse i wont bother and will keep windows :P :) but then again who can hate windows , BIll gates and his programmers offer a very good crackable OS.

but thats not the point lol , hopefully i will be able to switch to linux 100% :) becasue i love open source , and i have always wanted to use linux as my offical OS i use all the time :)

Actually, the computer teacher at my school had an error in paint. She hit the debug option(because she's got VC++ installed), the error was something about Paint trying to divide by 0.

Is the general consensus that it will require new hardware?
