Lightbulb who invented the first digital programable computer


Q1: Where is the birthplace of the first digital programmable computer ......after reading books on and visiting many sites i still cannot be sure of the person who ...or even which country the first digital programmable computer was invented in..
it seems to be either in the USA or in Great Britain .... but which ?

any offers as i am stumped on this one ..
