Which Video editor would you like to recommend .....
i have been using Mjepgtools and mencoder for some basic video editing(only conversions) , there are some ultilities in Mjepgtools that can do some video editing , i never really try them cause when i need to do video editing i will boot into me xp or 98 and use ulead ......
recently i'm thinking of doing these kind of thing with linux only , i had search the net for linux video editing apps but they usually need Awesome PCs to run but my needs are just simple one for personal purpose ..........
so does anybody ever work with any linux video editing apps which do not require much "system resource" when running ?
both GUI or CLI suggestions are ok for me ........
thanks laceupboots , for pointing me towards that link .....
visited Kdenlive's site found that it need kde , but i guess my ubuntu do not comes with kde , it uses gnome , wish i installed kde ubuntu in the first place ....
never the less , i downloaded their rendering engine PIAVE and managed to compiled it , from it site seems that they are using kind of xml for" commands", so let see how it goes .....
nice and interesting app , hopes Kdenlive/PIAVE keep on thier great efforts
i would highly recommend kdenlive, however, its now a dead project. it needs some programming help. this is by far the best editor, but not enough features. nice UI, easy to use, but dead.
what do you mean if you own a rocket? i heard cinelerra was tough on a system, it needs good specs, but i ran it just fine on my 2.2 ghz with 768 mb ram. the interface is huge though and its unbearable in 1024x768, and on a laptop (this one anyways) its impossible to go any higher unless you have an external monitor.
