Well, this really is not a reply to this thread at all, in fact, it isn't. I was not sure where to post my query as I'm not permitted to post a new thread. Hoping still that I'll be helped.

Here's my problem :
My friend is using postgres7.4 and java (jdk1.3). When she tries to execute the SET AUTO COMMIT command, she's unable to update her database.

What could be the problem? Could it have anything to do with driver compatibility mismatch or something?
